Terms
Simple, with no small print.
1. What the app is
Rachunki is an app for settling the bills of a shared flat and managing a rental. Basic use of the app is free.
2. Your data
- We store only what you enter (bills, properties, leases, people) and your account details: name, e-mail address and your password in protected form (it cannot be read).
- Data is stored only on our own server and its backups. We don't share it with anyone, sell it, analyse it or use it for advertising.
- Reminders and password links are sent by e-mail through a mail provider; it receives only the content of that message and your address.
- A property's data is visible only to the people who have access to it. The service administrator has technical access to the database and uses it only to maintain the app.
- Signing in with Google gives us only your name and e-mail address. We have no access to your Google account.
- We keep an event log (sign-ins, data changes, IP address) for security and so the history of changes can be reconstructed.
- Tenant data (name, phone, email) is entered by the person running the lease, who is responsible for its legal basis. It is not stored in the change log, and after the lease ends it can be deleted with one button (initials stay with the payments).
- Photos and PDFs of invoices attached to bills are visible only to people with access to the property.
Full information about data processing is in the privacy policy, and the rules for processing tenants' data – in the data processing agreement.
Your rights
- Access and portability: download all your data as JSON in your profile, and a property's bills and balance as CSV.
- Rectification: change your name, email address and settings in your profile.
- Objection to messages: turn off email reminders in your profile, per property.
- Erasure: delete your account yourself in your profile.
3. Cookies
We use only the cookies the app needs to work: your sign-in session, form protection and your language. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
To improve the app, we record usage statistics: visited pages, failed forms (field names only, never what you typed) and errors. We do not store IP addresses with them or share them with other companies; they stay on the app server and are deleted after 180 days.
4. Account deletion and service closure
You can delete your account at any time in your profile: your email address, sign-in, sessions and feedback are removed. Entries that concern other people in the same property (e.g. shared bills) stay in their history under your name, without your email address – otherwise their accounts would no longer add up. A property deleted by its manager is permanently erased after 90 days together with its change history and attachments. We keep the security log (sign-ins with IP address) to protect against abuse; backups expire according to their retention.
If we were to shut the service down, we will give notice in the app and by email at least 30 days in advance, to leave time to download your data (JSON and CSV export in your profile). After the service closes, the data and backups are permanently erased.
5. Liability
The app helps with settling up, but it is not an accounting service or tax advice. Check amounts suggested by the app (e.g. the flat-rate tax) before paying. We do our best to keep the app running and the data safe (backups), but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the app for anything illegal or try to access other people's data. If you do, your account may be blocked.
7. Contact and changes
Questions, data deletion requests and reports:the service administrator . We will announce significant changes to these terms in the app.
